John A Simonetti Architect LLC.: Winner of International Residential Architecture Awards 2021. The master plan is based on the Fibonocci Sequence, made up of home pods in. Each pod will consist of 8 homes, there will be an outer circle made up of 13 home pods, the inner circle made up of 5 home pods, and in the center, 1 home pod (the center pod in the circle may also be a school, religious structure, and general merchant). 

I am proposing a module based on units of a 2 foot 6 inch grid.  The homes will be built with Green and Sustainability in mind.  Solar power, wind power, and rain water collection will also be implemented.

The structures will float and also be anchored to the sea floor with structural components that will adjust to the water level. On each home there will be gardens within, and on the outside terraces, where the residents can grow their own food.

The main structure is designed to resemble a boat and have similar design features to a Lagos canoe. The exterior terraces and the balconies will take on the form of the bow and stern of a canoe. The roof structure also resembles the structural skeleton of a boat, and will also be designed to be an open air system to provide natural ventilation.

The main water level deck will be a place for the community to interact with a canoe docking area, an outdoor swimming pool, exterior deck gardens, and abundant space for gathering, recreation, and possibly merchandising. The second deck level will be for bedrooms, bathrooms, and a laundry area. The top deck level will be all the living spaces; kitchen, dining room, living room, den, and a center open air garden room. Both upper levels will have outdoor gardens and balconies.

John A Simonetti AIA LEED Green Associate GREEN SRES is a registered Architect in RI, MA, CT, and PA. John  runs his own Architecture firm, John A Simonetti Architect LLC.  Mr. Simonetti just received two awards form an international publication for Best Sustainable Residential Design Practice, and Most Innovative Residential Design Practice in New England.  John has been practicing Architecture since 1992, and obtained a Masters and Bachelors degree in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. He also runs two non profits that he founded teaching underprivileged children Architecture and Mural Painting, the National Architectural Engineering Sustainable Urban Youth Initiative Inc., and MetroArts for Young Artists-Rhode Island MetroArts Inc, John has received a citizen citations from the Mayor of Central Falls and Providence for his work with the students. . John is also an avid photographer, an artist, and a philanthropist.
