INSPIRATION

  • Inspiration was to create a lighting system that is easy to specify, with an easy-to-modify layout, and a large variety of elegant spots, pendants, and area light fixtures. Making for a versatile lighting choice for new property developments. Centerlight strives for a perfect balance of form and function. We make sure our products look elegant, unique, usable, and durable; we test every product rigorously. And it shows with Magfinity.

PRODUCTION OR REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY (AND MATERIALS)*:

  • Recessed is our recommended installation; the track system is mounted inside the ceiling, hidden – for a clean, modern, and minimalistic look. This mounting option is what we Recommend. However, the system was built to be offered with the options to suspend or surface mount as well, while still providing a Stylish, modern, designer look.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION**:

  • Once the track has been installed, our designer luminaries snap in place and connect automatically through the magic of magnets. This allows for an infinite amount of combinations with our designer lighting and accent fixtures. Luminaries were designed to be exchanged and repositioned quickly, without tools, with artistic results.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION**:

  • Creation and product design for ideas took over two years to complete. With the implementation of the complete Magfinity system.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT**:

  • Experience and research into the installation process of high end lighting and the complexities that go with it provided the inspiration to create the Magnifity system. Which specializes in a simple installation process while providing a high-end lighting system that is clean, modern, and infinitely customizable.

THE CREATIVE / RESEARCH CHALLENGE**:

The challenge in creating the Magfinity system was to get high-quality material into a simplistic design with the intent to be the standard in LED lighting design. The goal was to be the absolute best in the market, and at the best price.
