Pool Pavilion by John A Simonetti Architect LLC | International Residential Architecture Awards 2019

To design a garden pavilion pool house that sits like a jewel in the landscape surround with a continuous flow of interior and exterior space.

I was inspired by travels through Japan therefore emphasizing horizontal lines.  The building interacts with the setting much like a Japanese Tea House, and the facade designs where inspired by Japanese screens.  Also there was a strong intention to meld with the New England vernacular design.  The cupola was inspired by the South East Light on Block Island.  At night the cupola illuminates beckoning guests to visit the Garden Pavilion.
