ZSD: Winner of World Design Awards 2025. The Hangzhou Green Pearl Innovation Center is located in the west of Hangzhou. The project takes “spatial design in the context of science and technology innovation” as its core paradigm, aiming to build a spatial prototype that inspires innovation, promotes connection and responds to nature on this land that is yet to develop.

We abandon the traditional logic of spatial design and adopt an agile, open and experimental technological innovation thinking mode to reconstruct the spatial paradigm of the relationship between people and space, work and nature, efficiency and experience.

A moderately small booth social area is separated from the open lobby by an LED display wall. The single-person work area set up along the window offers a panoramic view of the fresh greenery just by looking up. The coffee bar, wrapped in cold emerald marble, maintains a delicate balance, where accidental collisions and cross-disciplinary collaborations are taking place. We hope that the open and informal workspace can encourage people to communicate actively here. Without deliberately perceiving the design, they can unconsciously achieve more efficient collaboration, more continuous inspiration, and a healthier work rhythm.
