HUGE ROCK DESIGN: Winner of World Design Awards 2025. The project employs the Chinese garden design philosophy of “a scene with every step” to craft an immersive homecoming experience. From welcoming spaces and viewing areas to social zones and leisure quarters, each meticulously designed space coalesces to create an elegant and harmonious living environment.

Inspired by the renowned Song Dynasty painting The Panorama of Rivers and Mountains, the lobby’s backdrop utilizes enamel-painted glass craftsmanship to reinterpret the artwork’s majestic landscapes. As natural light filters through the glass, shifting shadows trace mountain silhouettes like brushstrokes on parchment, imbuing the space with dynamic artistic vitality.

Reimagining the ancient Chinese “dragon-scale binding” bookbinding technique, the ceiling transforms this heritage motif into three-dimensional decor. The undulating metallic panels retain classical elegance while introducing an ethereal, dreamlike quality through layered refraction effects. Drawing from the literati tradition of tea gatherings around stove-heated kettles, the bar’s feature wall adopts a soft celadon hue. Textured ceramic tiles emulate weathered scholar’s rocks, evoking a serene ambiance reminiscent of dawn’s first light—an urban oasis harmonizing cultural refinement with tranquil modernity.
