YuQiang & Partners: Winner of World Design Awards 2025. The Haid Science Park, serving as the new headquarters for the globally leading agricultural and animal husbandry enterprise Haid Group, is designed by YuQiang & Partners. The project responds to the transformation of modern working patterns and the growing demand for sustainability, embedding ESG principles into its spatial framework. It creates an inclusive, warm, technological, and healthy sustainable ecosystem campus. Beyond being a “super headquarters cluster” for efficient collaboration, it also establishes a new spatial paradigm for the transformation of agritech enterprises, offering an innovative model for the industry’s future.

Design Concept & Innovation Strategy

Rooted in the characteristics of an agritech enterprise, the design breaks away from conventional office typologies with the core concept of “Working-Life”, advocating the organic integration of work and living to stimulate creativity and enhance employee well-being.

At the macro level, the campus functions as a “micro city,” integrating offices, R&D, training, and support facilities into an ecosystem that nurtures continuous innovation. At the micro level, biophilic design, diversified spatial settings, and human-centered details foster a sense of belonging, well-being, and team cohesion.

Strictly adhering to its ESG commitments, the project targets the WELL Gold Standard, adopting ENF/F4-star eco-friendly materials and adhesive-free carpets, while integrating professional acoustic and lighting design to ensure both employee health and environmental sustainability.

Design Execution & Spatial Empowerment

The headquarters redefines the corporate image with an open layout and warm materiality. Inspired by the ocean, the lobby features layered wave-like ceilings, evoking a sense of flow and symbolizing the harmony between enterprise and nature. The dual-lobby circulation and central café hub optimize movement efficiency while encouraging informal interaction and collaboration.

Following the principle of zoned dynamics, the office areas flexibly integrate focus pods and open collaboration zones to accommodate diverse work modes. Biophilic spaces, library-like atriums, open staircases, and “Inspiration Boxes” create a garden-style workspace that supports continuous learning and deep thinking.

The Haid Research Institute embodies technology and futurism, featuring a nine-story “super atrium” that enhances spatial unity and ceremonial presence. The transparent elevators and “Gene Spiral Staircase” symbolize the evolution of agricultural science and technology. Abundant natural light and lakeside views infuse the space with both emotional resonance and functional value.

The lakeside restaurant embodies the “Working-Life” philosophy, translating the imagery of growth and harvest into a contemporary spatial language. Warm tones, soft curves, and artistic agricultural motifs create a bright and healing dining experience against the lake backdrop, offering employees moments of balance and rejuvenation.

As both an operational hub and a brand symbol, Haid Science Park establishes the enterprise’s future competitiveness through a human-centered, tech-driven, and sustainable design approach—creating a growth-oriented community where efficiency and self-fulfillment coexist.

At the same time, the project offers a benchmark for industrial transformation, seamlessly integrating humanistic care, technological innovation, and ecological sustainability. It redefines the value of the workplace and provides an inspiring model for sustainable development across the agricultural and broader industrial sectors.
