Artistic Treasures | CCD Cheng Chung Design | World Design Awards 2025
CCD Cheng Chung Design: Winner of World Design Awards 2025. Overall Design Concept: “With the world as the stage, we curate art as life.”
When the luxurious aesthetic of Dubai’s The Lana Hotel meets the cosmopolitan spirit of the East, Poly Art Treasure Mansion redefines the pinnacle of Shenzhen living as an International Art Jewel. Inspired by global artistry, the design transforms space into a narrative theatre — weaving together the drama of movement, the depth of the ocean, and the lightness of feathers into a living epic. Each residence becomes a private stage for global elites, a sanctuary of immersive artistry. From the moment one steps into the grand lobby, a world-class art journey begins.

2. The Grand Hall — Reception Lobby “The Pantheon”
Drawing inspiration from the architectural archetype of the Roman Pantheon, the grand lobby reinterprets classical proportion and divine symmetry within a modern narrative.
An 11-meter vertical axis evokes a solemn sense of ceremony, while a panoramic façade reimagines the Pantheon’s oculus with a sculptural background wall — reflecting the aesthetic tension between classical geometry and modern luxury.
The ceiling design references the cross-vaulted colonnades of Western classical architecture, its sculptural form imprinting a distinctive spatial memory.
The wall interface is defined by ten-meter-high Italian burlwood panels, crafted with a high-gloss piano finish and parametric perforation, costing over 5,000 RMB per square meter — a testament to bespoke craftsmanship.
On the floor, precision water-jet techniques inlay Italian Hyatt White, Turkish Grey, and Taigu Black Gold marbles into a fractal tessellation, fusing neoclassical beauty with digital craftsmanship — setting a new paradigm for contemporary luxury interiors.
The reception desk, conceived as a totem of spatial spirit, draws from the creative logic of BVLGARI jewelry design.
Carved from a single block of S-grade white quartzite from the Minas Gerais mine in Brazil, its embedded feather-shaped crystal formations transform the counter into a collectible jewel of art, surpassing even museum-grade installations in rarity and refinement.
(White quartzite, known as “the king of crystals,” symbolizes purity and clarity. Its translucent texture and gem-like luster make it a coveted luxury stone used in fine jewelry and artistic installations.)
The arrival hall, as the prelude to the spatial sequence, extends the architectural vocabulary of modern art. A 20-meter golden-ratio forecourt, mirror water features, and suspended art installations compose a symmetrical welcome, their reflections forming a serene museum-like arrival experience.
The façade’s curving surfaces juxtapose Hyatt White stone with brushed bronze metal, achieving a dialogue of strength and softness. The glass doors, crafted with metal-mesh laminated technology, weave 0.8 mm filaments into a semi-transparent interface of light and shadow.
The custom iridescent mother-of-pearl handles shimmer with a gradient glow, harmonizing with BVLGARI’s signature crystal textures — a material conversation of craftsmanship and opulence.
Every element integrates water installations, light choreography, and architectural skin textures, culminating in a minimalist luxury aesthetic that echoes the “less is more” philosophy — restrained, timeless, and poetic.
3. Secondary Lobby
The feature wall follows the logic of haute jewelry design.
Composed of 18,000 pieces of Swiss-certified AAA iridescent mother-of-pearl, each meticulously cut and hand-polished in a Venetian atelier through 72 refinement steps, the surface gleams with Baroque opalescence — capturing the fluid memory of light.
The reception counter, made from the rare “Da Vinci Code” gemstone marble, reveals natural veins of lapis lazuli and malachite — a geological masterpiece bridging five centuries of artistry.
Here, geological archaeology, digital humanities, and luxury craftsmanship converge, redefining collectible space art for the world’s most discerning clientele.
Art & Furnishings
1. Art Wall – “Golden Overture”
When light dances with metal, art begins to resonate.
The lobby’s feature installation acts as “the first spotlight before the curtain rises.”
Hammered stainless steel textures freeze the folds of time, while 24-karat gold leaf reliefs ripple like the drapery of an opera stage.
Raw metal mesh dialogues with polished brass — echoing the golden allegory of Milan’s Teatro alla Scala, where reason and romance find eternal harmony.
2. Lounge Area – “Feathered Starlight”
As the golden overture fades, red becomes the conductor of emotion.
Inspired by the first monologue after the darkened stage, the lounge interprets theatrical intimacy through feather motifs, sculptural lighting, and a play of shadows — turning every visitor into a co-director of the space.
At Poly Art Treasure Mansion, luxury is not about viewing art — it is about living within it.
4. The Light Gallery — “Alhambra Palace”
Upon entry, a monumental 6 × 10 meter theatrical window opens to a luminous water courtyard, evoking the rhythm and serenity of the Alhambra Palace.
Orderly columns express solemnity; the flowing water infuses vitality; and the interplay of light dissolves spatial boundaries.
White stone dominates the palette, serene yet timeless.
The mirrored water feature reflects sky and architecture, blurring edges between reality and reflection — transforming architecture, nature, and light into a symphony of stillness and motion.
As bronze furnishings meet the softness of mist and light, the gallery becomes a living theatre of perpetual elegance — a dialogue between sculpture and water, reason and romance.
Here, luxury is redefined: every daily moment attains the permanence of a museum-grade artwork.
5. The Brand Gallery — Museum of Timelessness When space becomes the vessel of civilization, the Brand Gallery transforms into an archaeology of refined spirit.
Through curatorial thinking, it elevates the narrative of Poly’s “Yu” series across four thematic acts — blending material craftsmanship with philosophical resonance.
