CHONGQING · ETERNAL LAND | ZEN | International Residential Architecture Awards 2025
ZEN: Winner of International Residential Architecture Awards 2025. The overall planning is divided into three phases, comprising eight residential plots and two commercial plots. The commercial plots are designated for “Mixc Central,” a luxury mixed-use complex currently under construction in Chongqing. ETERNAL LAND residential complex is located within the residential plots and is adjacent to the commercial plots. Spanning 18,398 square meters, the project features significant elevation differences in the surrounding roads, with an elevation difference of around 25 meters from east to west and around 22 meters from north to south. Leveraging the original terrain, the project creates a vibrant commercial district below and a lively residential community above, with a total floor area of approximately 99,800 square meters. This will include five high-rise residential buildings, two commercial buildings, and an underground parking garage.

CHONGQIN ETERNAL LAND redefines urban living in the mountainous city. Through multi-disciplinary collaborative design, it integrates spatial innovation, ecological harmony, and urban connectivity, interpreting the essence of “quality housing.”
- Urban Renewal and Terraced Landscape: Located in the heart of Guanyinqiao, this project promotes urban renewal by offering high-quality residential and mixed-use community spaces. The project preserves the mountainous character of the area by utilizing natural elevation changes to form terraced spaces. Hotel-style lobbies and vertical elevator halls connect the community to the city while thoughtfully separating residential and commercial zones. The 3D spatial flow incorporates Chongqing’s multi-layered identity while offering a contemporary residential experience.
- Sky Bridges and Boundaryless Integration: Multiple plots are interconnected via “Highline” sky bridges, which establish independent horizontal circulation networks for residential and commercial plots to minimize cross-interference. Vertical connectivity ensures easy access across different functions. Residents can stroll directly to commercial and landscape nodes via sky bridges, expanding their living radius. These bridges also direct foot traffic to commercial plots, facilitating interaction between residences and the city. The spatial design integrates diverse living scenarios within a composite community, enhancing convenience and establishing a new urban lifestyle in the city center.
- Misty Forest and Coexisting with Nature: Centered around the concept of a “Misty Forest,” the design incorporates a sunken light hall, urban decks, and a central water courtyard. Lush greenery permeates the community, while reflective water features mirror the city skyline, creating an urban ecological oasis.
- Fourth-Generation Housing and Green Vitality: High-rise vertical greening systems bring nature into the sky. Unit layouts emphasize spacious common areas, panoramic daylighting, and flexible spaces, blurring the boundaries between indoors and outdoors. Generous ceiling heights and full-fit luxury finishes cater to diverse needs for health, social interaction, and quality living.
- Modern Facade and Artistic Aesthetics: The exterior features a blend of glass and metal accented with champagne tones, evoking a sense of place and presenting an understated yet elegant artistic luxury. The expansive glazing ensures both visual prominence and optimal views for residents.
Comprehensive Amenities and Enriched Living: The community includes a clubhouse and a heated swimming pool. Direct access to the commercial street and complex via sky bridges and elevators defines a high-quality lifestyle that balances tranquility and enjoyment.
