ZSD: Winner of World Design Awards 2024. Yunlan Valley is located in Hangzhou science and technology industry and headquarters office gathering place, the south side is close to Xixi wetland, with the convenience of double subway lines, is a new commercial-office complex project. The park as a whole is a “U” shaped enclosure layout, the building surface towards the city is clean and pure, and the interior has layer upon layer of terraces.

The landscape tries to establish a clear structure, that is, a linear north-south longitudinal feeling from the border to the interior, through the entire pavement and arborism system, integrating the texture of the block and the building; And an east-west “valley” is like the calligraphy “Zhi” character, bringing elegance and agility into the orderly site, guiding the transformation of moving lines and situations.

Stratus

The “tree cloud” formed by 11 Chinese tallow trees floats on the platform, forming the main image of the city of Yunlan Valley. The sunken space connecting with the subway station is an important passageway for future commutes, and in order to ease the tension caused by the slope, the successive steps are divided into several sections. Stacked loquat trees continue the image of “stratus cloud”, and the kidney fern, endless summer and conical hydrangea below soften the boundary of the steps.

Billowing

The layout of the “Zhi” font maximizes the time and length of the site experience, while actively creating rich height changes, forming various forms and modality of water. The design of the ground pavement also strengthens the image of the “stream”, and the ten-meter-long terrazzo bar provides a stable and poetic stay space for the office crowd. At the end of the stream was a partially submerged pond, in which several stones stood silent.

Green valley

The overall greening rate of up to 27% means a rich plant space that wraps around the meandering stream, forming the image of a vibrant “green valley” throughout the project. The design tries to break the traditional office atmosphere of rules, seriousness, dark green and repetition, and uses various pink and white flowers to saturate the sun and harmonize the rich green in the language of order. On the theme of plant space, we created 9 different experience garden Spaces, and the three-dimensional space was crowned with Oriental poetry.

Massif

The carpeted lawn cascaded down, with seven Chinese tallow trees. The elevation of the terrain allows the light-loving plants to receive full sunlight, and the naturalistic planting method creates a romantic and distinctive experience.
