HZS: Winner of International Residential Architecture Awards 2024. Located in the old Meijiang area of Hexi District, Tianjin, this project is adjacent to Weijinhe Park and only 0.5 km away from Meijiang Park. It is in the core of Meijiang’s mature high-end residential area, enjoying superior natural conditions and beautiful urban interface as well as mature supporting facilities. It features a very dynamic living atmosphere and high-quality Meijiang people, and is a superior concentration of Tianjin’s urban elite.

It is difficult to find a quiet place in the hustle and bustle of the city, perhaps this is the meaning of MEIJIANG PIONEER’s existence. People enter with the “mountain” and face the “beautiful scene”, refusing the hustle and bustle and escaping into the poetic dreamland. MEIJIANG PIONEER takes “retreat in the city” as its core design concept to create a low-key luxury and unique living experience in the city.

According to the plan, it presents a pattern with the main building as the core and surrounded by four high-rise buildings, and the central area is symmetrically arranged. The main entrance is placed on the east side to lengthen the horizontal ceremonial flow line of home returning. Combined with the super-scale space design of the community lobby, this creates an idyllic home returning experience that breaks the limitations of time and space.

As a continuation of the classic mansion gene of China Overseas Property Hidden Peak series, this project aims to create the first TOP “peak and realm series” work in Tianjin. It extracts the spirit and water rhyme of Meijiang River, and creates a vertical channel connecting “stone” and “water” at a higher level, reaching the “peak realm” of Meijiang River. 

In terms of facade modeling, the three sections of symmetrical composition of the middle axis and the extended horizontal lines make the facade look balanced, stretched, stable and dignified. The warm silver prominent lines are used to outline the facade shape of “high mountains and flowing water” and interpret the spiritual core of “not showing its edge”. The “lighthouse” at the top is symbolic, and the city-scale cover is designed at the top of the building, the interweaving of wood-colored aluminum panels and light belts allows the spirit of this new landmark of human habitation in the city to be highlighted from the highest point of the building. As for the material selection of the facade, the high-grade dark stone is perfectly integrated with the warm and introverted wood-colored aluminum panels. The project seeks to create a unique low-key, luxurious temperament, for which the designers make reference to a number of hotel decoration styles, involving the low saturation and elegant luxury color matching of the Puli Hotel Shanghai, the use of stone and wood materials in the Rosewood Hotel Beijing, and the simple and restrained style of The Lalu Nanjing. In this way, the project appears more international, modern and artistic. The exquisite design brings a distinguished hotel-like living experience.
