Cai Wenjie Interior Design: Winner of International Residential Architecture Awards 2024. As a residence for young people, the owner of this case has their own set of lifestyle habits and ideas, such as “de household chores, brainless storage, entertainment first, etc.”, expressing the expectations and wishes of contemporary young people for their own homes. The structural transformation takes the adaptability of each space as the starting point, and re allocates the reasonable scale and function that each space should have. Strengthen the residential concept and ideas of residents, and weaken the corresponding shortcomings of the space. Ultimately presenting a minimalist and modern living environment.

In terms of spatial atmosphere, the designer used their expertise in stacking and layering color blocks to deconstruct the space in a certain proportion. The classic wood grain texture brings the most authentic color imagery to the autumn color scheme. The various techniques added to the wood grain texture add more aesthetic imagination to the imagery of autumn. A sense of “nest” that was discovered by chance on the uneven yet overall texture of the branches in late autumn permeated.
