Novotel Goa Panjim | DP Architects | World Design Awards 2025

DP Architects: Winner of World Design Awards 2025. Novotel Goa Panjim marks Accor Group’s third foray into the Goa market, distinguishing itself with a concept that blends the sophistication of a hotel with the relaxed luxury of a resort. Unlike its two predecessors, this property is designed to create an upscale urban resort experience.

Situated in an area with limited natural vistas, the design compensates by introducing a central courtyard within the lobby, where natural daylight pours in from above, to create a serene focal point and enhance the calming atmosphere.

The hotel’s location, surrounded by dense urban sprawl, led to the decision to set the tower block housing the rooms back from the road, minimising both noise and ensuring greater privacy for guests. The rooms are oriented to overlook a lushly landscaped pool deck, further amplifying the resort-like ambience, with each room offering a generous balcony featuring additional planting and seating areas for a more immersive outdoor experience.

The introduction of natural elements, such as a daylight-filled deck, curvilinear balconies, and a wave-inspired facade, reinforces the sense of well-being and connection to nature. As a result, guests are offered a tranquil retreat in the heart of the city, with access to fresh air, greenery, and abundant natural light.

The hotel is well equipped for events, with a sizeable ballroom that can be divided into two sections, complemented by several meeting rooms. The inclusion of a casino introduces an additional entertainment dimension to the property, with a separate main entrance at the stilt level. Although connected to the lobby, the casino’s entry is secondary, ensuring a more discreet experience for guests.

Novotel Goa Panjim successfully merges the vibrant energy of an urban setting with the tranquillity of a resort, offering guests a unique blend of luxury and comfort. This innovative design approach makes it an ideal destination for both business and leisure travellers seeking a peaceful yet sophisticated escape. Natural light, fluid forms, and carefully orchestrated spatial sequences come together to provide not just accommodation, but an experience—balancing the vibrancy of urban life with the calm of a resort escape.
