Lingoal Design: Winner of International Residential Architecture Awards 2024. This residential project, designed with a refined balance of elegance and functionality, reflects the client’s calm and open-minded personality. The design concept focuses on enhancing the spatial atmosphere to evoke a sense of tranquility and emotional resonance. The clients, avid readers, desired a home that seamlessly blended quality, practicality, and subtle touches of color without being overwhelming. The goal was to create a space that fostered harmony, reflecting both the client’s personality and their deep appreciation for peaceful living.

The design journey took two years to complete, with the design team ensuring smooth coordination and the client’s full support, resulting in an outcome that surpassed the initial renderings. From the carefully planned layout to the integration of materials, every detail was considered to evoke a sense of warmth and emotional connection.

One of the standout features is the use of pure Indian green marble, which subtly captivates with its delicate tones and white ripples. This material, along with thoughtful design elements like the retaining wall that extends from floor to ceiling, creates a dynamic rhythm throughout the home. The wall’s geometric precision, coupled with its large color contrasts, introduces a visual flow, allowing the space to breathe freely. The interplay of light and shadow across different surfaces further enhances the mood, transforming the space into a living, breathing work of art.

The integration of a patio maximizes natural light and ventilation, energizing the previously dim underground space. The play of light, whether from the soft rays streaming through windows or the gentle illumination in quieter corners, sets a serene and healing atmosphere. Each room, from the spacious living and dining areas to the private zones like the master bedroom and study, is designed to support both function and emotional well-being.

On the first floor, the open living and dining spaces flow seamlessly, with custom-built furniture providing ample storage while maintaining a sense of openness. The connection between the sofa and floor-to-ceiling windows invites natural light, adding to the visual and practical appeal. On the second floor, the daughter’s room embraces soft curves, creating a nurturing environment where the interplay of sunlight and design elevates the space’s emotional value.

The third floor features a suite-style layout that combines functionality with study space, optimizing both privacy and usage. A unique partition wall in the master bedroom enhances the sense of serenity, making the space feel both intimate and expansive. In the study, a vaulted ceiling enhances the room’s height and elegance, while its dynamic design creates an inviting atmosphere for reading and reflection. This home is a testament to the idea that design goes beyond aesthetics—it creates an environment that nurtures the spirit and fosters a deeper connection to one’s surroundings.
