Riverside Mansion | HZS | International Residential Architecture Awards 2025

HZS: Winner of International Residential Architecture Awards 2025. The project is located in the core area of Yanqing District, Beijing, which is adjacent to mature residential communities on both the north and east sides. Within a two-kilometer radius, commercial and leisure facilities such as Jinluoban Commercial Center and Baipinshang Shopping Center are complete.

In terms of planning and layout, the project has deeply considered the form of the site and meticulously constructed an enclosed courtyard layout. The exquisite landscape painting and the elegant life enjoyment scroll interweave on two axes, presenting a magnificent image of “one garden concealing nine scenes, two scrolls displaying the splendor”. Residential buildings in the block are arranged in a staggered manner, complementing the garden enclosure. The distance between buildings is wide, ensuring each household enjoys a good view and natural light. The buildings along the street are of varying heights, outlining a naturally undulating and richly layered skyline. The street corner setback and staggered design, combined with the meticulous creation of public building interfaces, have created clear priorities and exquisite delicacy, as well as a multi-level neighborhood open space system.

The facade design adopts modern elegance as its essence, meticulously crafting every detail to showcase extraordinary aesthetics. The steady and heavy nature of stone, the lightness and agility of aluminum plates, and the warm texture of real stone paint are ingeniously combined in precise proportions. In the interplay of light and shadow, an elegant expression of the building is fully displayed. The combination of stone and champagne gold aluminum panels not only showcases a sense of high-end grandeur and technological sophistication, but conveys the design concept of modern precision engineering through the detailed design of the facade.

In terms of sustainable development, the project adopts green building materials and energy-saving technologies, such as high-efficiency thermal insulation materials and energy-saving door and window systems, to reduce energy consumption and enhance living comfort. The rainwater collection and reclaimed water reuse system realizes the recycling of water resources. Large-scale green landscapes are planned within the community, which not only beautify the environment but also improve air quality and promote ecological balance. At the same time, an intelligent energy management system is introduced to monitor energy consumption in real time, optimize energy usage, and create a green, low-carbon and sustainable living environment for the owners.
