GREENTOWN CHINA HOLDINGS LIMITED: Winner of World Design Awards 2024. Inspired by the city’s distinctive water-related culture and its livable environment boasting verdant forests, the design team merged the local cultural context and natural art into landscapes on the site, through subtle methods. Such landscape design evokes memories about Jinan, thereby giving a strong sense of belonging.

Box-shaped architectural form is a striking design highlight of the project. As can be seen from urban roads at distance, stones are interwoven with glass while overhanging eaves are combined with set-back structures, so that the demonstration area is endowed with a simplistic, lightweight, avant-garde and understated luxury touch, as well as a strong visual identity. Whilst connecting people with the building and continuing the site’s fabrics, beautiful landscapes also enhance closeness to nature and offer intriguing spatial experiences, hence attracting passers-by to explore the inside of the “box”.

Architecture is not only a space for living but also a stage for life. The project is thoughtfully designed to include amenities such as a year-round temperature-controlled swimming pool, gym, and yoga room, catering to the quality pursuits of every resident and showcasing an elegant lifestyle. The star-rated welcome lobby integrates a water bar, reading area, and reception space, serving as both an entrance and a private social sanctuary. The all-age shared social spaces ensure that individuals from every age group can find their own stage here, where life and art blend seamlessly.

Greentown’s innovative DESIGN series features a minimalist facade with a window-to-wall ratio of approximately 0.49, beautifully capturing the azure sky and lush tree shadows. The flowing natural poetry creates a calming ambiance. The main entrance, spanning around 60 meters, and the star-rated welcome lobby warmly greet every returning family member. The sunken water feature courtyard connects the community to the welcome lobby, enhanced by carefully selected native trees from four provinces, the “Habu Treasure Forest” themed around the Habu IP, and the pioneering Chun Zhi Learning Center. These elements transform the garden into an outdoor classroom and vibrant space for education and enjoyment. The dual-axis design features nine realms and multiple gardens, embodying an immersive and interactive landscaping concept where every step reveals a scene and every scene evokes emotion.
