Colliers Define: Winner of World Design Awards 2024. The office for Michelin is a modern and functional space, created with user’s comfort in mind. The Colliers Define experts’ design combines aesthetics with ergonomic and innovative solutions to ensure a welcoming workplace that promotes employee’s well-being.

The space is composed with soft, organic shapes, with subtle references to the Michelin brand – particularly the round forms of tires. These patterns have been transferred to modern elements, such as the rounded reception desk and furniture with soft lines. The circular motifs are also repeated on the ceiling, and on the acoustic panels in conference rooms discreetly resemble tire tracks, blending harmoniously into the space.

An innovative open-space layout based on the building’s circular floor plan with triangular desks is a key design element. Individual lighting at each workstation creates a cozy atmosphere, and the generous space between desks gives employees freedom of movement, which promotes efficiency. The open space also features swings to encourage a short break for physical activity

A key asset of the project is the expanded coworking area, which is connected to a kitchen with home-like elements. It is a relaxing and collaborative space that promotes relationship building among employees.

The design also incorporates the Michelin brand colors. The company’s signature navy blue runs through the details, combined with wooden elements and lots of greenery. In addition, the office space features graphics with the brand’s logo and an image of Michelin’s mascot, Bibendum, which is the brand’s trademark. This environment  responds to the needs of users by offering a space that is aesthetically pleasing and multifunctional. The new Michelin office designed by Colliers Define is also a great recruiting tool and supports the acquisition of new talents.
