Isabel Gomez Studio: Winner of World Design Awards 2022. The aim of this project was a complete reform of a duplex in the heart of the European district of Brussels. Occupying the top floor and attic of a party house with typical Brussels architecture, this duplex boasts large windows and incredible views over the city. Following the desire and taste of the client, an open living space was proposed, integrating the kitchen by means of a bar and dividing the dining room from the living room by an ethanol fireplace. 

The attic was transformed into a spacious bedroom that includes a work space and a free-standing bathtub next to the terrace windows, allowing the client to benefit from the views of the city. Taking advantage of the sloping ceiling, a large custom closet was proposed that surrounds the head of the bed and allows convenient access to integrated bedside tables. The complete renovation was conceived in an industrial style, the use of materials such as black metal, dark bamboo wood, textured glass, exposed concrete and leather created a masculine, sober and elegant interior.
