team+ design studio: Winner of World Design Awards 2024. This project is located in the Huangpu river side of Shanghai, China. The facade design follows functional requirements to ensure ventilation in summer and winter for the building temperature control. For the chemical area, noise reduction measures will be taken, and commercial advertising spaces will be set up on the south facade. In ventilation design, a combination of mechanical ventilation and natural ventilation is adopted. The central commercial volume and sports supporting mezzanine space in large factories, as well as the commercial space in small factories, are equipped with air conditioning systems. The overall open space is assisted by large ceiling fans, and local corridors are cooled by water mist. Multiple methods are used to regulate the local microclimate.

In winter, the wind in Shanghai is mainly from the northwest, and the solid walls on the northwest side of buildings are the main ones. In some areas, perforated metal mesh and external insulation film are used, and the insulation film can be closed in winter. The roof is designed with insulation structure, and the commercial and other supporting functions are enclosed areas that can be equipped with air conditioning. Set skylights on the roof to create a greenhouse space in winter, and place solar panels on other areas besides the skylight to achieve thermal insulation and energy conservation in winter.
