Solé Mia by Crystal Lagoons | World Design Awards 2020
Crystal Lagoons & EDSA: Winner of World Design Awards 2020. The Shoreline at Solé Mia is the first amenity-rich development completed at one of South Florida’s most ambitious projects, Solé Mia.
The Shoreline at Solé Mia is not only raising the neighborhood market value but the luxury amenity standards by housing arguably one of the most unprecedented amenities in a rental community with South Florida’s first man-made lagoon, Laguna Solé, an eye-popping, swimmable Caribbean-blue body of fresh water that spans seven acres, including sandy beach areas and its own little island. The city-within-a-city will eventually be anchored around the impressive engineering feat, bringing waterfront living to a part of Miami that’s not technically on the water. The amenity crown-jewel is the size of 21 Olympic-sized pools and provides the Shoreline residents with sandy beaches and a waterfront location where they can swim, paddleboard, kayak or float on luxury loungers.
Laguna Solé at Solé Mia, by Crystal Lagoons, enables low water consumption using up to 30 times less water than a golf course and 50 percent less water than required by a park of the same size. Crystal Lagoons’ state-of-the-art and eco-friendly technology uses disinfection pulses that allow using up to 100 times less chemicals than swimming pools and uses an ultrasonic filtration system that uses up to 50 times less energy than conventional filtration systems.
Pegged as a “neighborhood gamechanger” by the Miami Herald, the Shoreline’s success is record-breaking. Within three months of launching in January 2019, the first tower completely leased up, leading to the opening of the second tower. LeFrak confirmed the Shoreline is the fastest and most successful rental lease up in the company’s 100-year history of real estate development.
Jointly designed by Miami-based Arquitectonica and Robert M. Swedroe Architects, the Shoreline comprises of two 17-story white and azure towers with well distinguished curves and soft lines inspired by the natural forms in the landscape and the water that surround the project. The residences feature one, two and three-bedroom rentals with open floor plans, floor-to-ceiling windows, spacious spa-like bathrooms and expansive balconies with jaw-dropping views of the lagoon and the mangrove trees of Oleta River State Park.
The Shoreline at Solé Mia’s extensive amenity programs includes a variety of wellness and entertainment spaces. In addition to the lagoon, wellness amenities include an elevated pool deck and spa, a state-of-the-art fitness center with Peloton bikes, a weight-training room, a yoga studio with Fitness on Demand, a 24/7 virtual workout-program platform and extensive outdoor fitness trails. Entertainment amenities at the Shoreline include an outdoor dining and grilling lounge, resort-style private cabanas, an air-conditioned poolside clubroom, two multi-purpose resident lounges, a pet-grooming area, a game room, 24/7 concierge services, a business center, parcel lockers with 24/7 access, electric-car charging stations, a bike-repair room and storage, as well as ample covered parking.
Solé Mia is being thoughtfully developed by two of the country’s most successful real estate family dynasties, the LeFraks of New York and the Soffers of South Florida. The 184-acre master-planned community is being built in several phases and will eventually be a live, work, play paradise with more than 4,000 residential units and 1.5 million square feet of commercial space.
